![]() With that being said, we made a fork version of the software by combing Streamlabs features (and some other things) with OBS. As a company that loves streaming and wants to make streaming better for streamers, we love the fact that OBS is open source, which allows anyone to have the chance to improve livestreaming. I just wanted to give you an insight of what Streamlabs OBS has done and what you can expect from us in the near future.įirst of all, we have a tremendous amount of respect for OBS. Streamlabs staff here to answer your question. If you are fine with separate programs and dont make full use of everything then just stick to OBS Studio.Īs much negative as my post is about it, thats mostly just my take. Tl dr: Use it if you like and want all the streamlabs tools in one place. SLOBS will never overtake OBS Studio, so you have no worries about any long term consequences, SLOBS is basically a plug-in that comes with its custom OBS, throwing together the website and new Ahkbot (Streamlabs bot). Performance wise it simply depends, I can get lower CPU usage since I don't even need all the stuff it has, so I would never have all the extra windows open which they claim is the CPU savings. I rather have multiple windows then having to click everywhere all the time. Personally Im not a fan of the all-in-one build. Let alone some features that were only just now implemented like Studio Mode. If it has some nice new feature you will always have to wait a little before SLOBS catches up and adjusts it to their fork. OBS Studio is the original thing and in active development.
